From light, simple young wines from the best wine-growing areas to heavy, deep reds. And also excellent vintage wines, large bottles or a respectable selection of half-bottles are just waiting to be opened – we currently store more than 15,000 bottles in our cellar. Our sommelier serves fantastic wines from our range with great expertise and a real feeling for them to accompany our excellent, multi award-winning menus and of course to suit our guests’ taste.
For us, wine is science, art and passion at the same time – it changes while it is being stored, the vintages are often so drastically different and the wine-growing areas change.
Simon Brugger Senior therefore visits the different wine growers every year to taste and check the vintages and varieties so that only the best wines really end up in the Lanersbacher Hof’s wine cellar and on our guests’ tables.
